Why Financial Services Audit?
Financial Services is a priority sector for Johnston Carmichael and this focus has seen the financial services audit team enjoy significant growth in recent years, specifically within the Wealth and Asset Management sub-sector. Our client base ranges from household names to small start-ups and includes a significant footprint in listed, public interest entities, including a FTSE250, a significant number of open-ended funds, credit unions, asset managers, private equity, venture capital, LP funds and service organisation control (SOC) reports.
Our dedicated financial services audit team of around 60 individuals is led from our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices and has key team members around the country. The successful candidate could be based in any of our established offices or any other location.
The role provides the foundations of a portfolio for an audit signatory and would afford the successful candidate the capacity to build their own portfolio with the help of the wider financial services audit leadership group. It would be ideal for an individual looking to make the step up to audit RI or indeed an experienced RI looking for a new challenge, more autonomy in their decision making or the opportunity to join a quality focused and growing audit team.
Our wider financial services team is well placed to continue the growth we have achieved in recent years, which has seen us win significant market share from the Big-4 and other mid-tier accountancy firms.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that is ambitious and supportive. Growth is important to us, but team dynamic, audit quality and cultural fit are of paramount importance. Our flat hierarchical structure means the successful candidate would get regular contact with senior leadership at JC and be able to influence strategy, direction and culture from day one.
We look forward to hearing from you.
