We are looking to recruit a VAT Manager.
This role requires responsibility to oversee the provision of VAT services and support clients to minimise VAT liabilities, support compliance issues and give tax planning advice.
We are flexible on location within Scotland.
The VAT Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Collate data previously reported in the VAT returns, and using that data complete VAT returns
Identify differences within the reconciliations, investigate those differences and provide a resolution
Monitor the VAT workflow for an extensive client base
Work with the wider JC business to understand any VAT issues and provide guidance and advice to resolve
Build trusted relationships with clients, confidently representing the firm to a high standard
Confidently work with the wider tax team to attract new business opportunities to grow the firm’s VAT client portfolio, including networking events
About You:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others
Previous experience or involvement in a business development environment
Relevant experience in a practice environment or a similar role is essential
Ability to work alone as well as in a team
A leader of your work and your professional learning
