    Entrepreneurial Taxes Manager / Senior Manager

    We are looking for an Entrepreneurial Taxes Manager / Senior Manager to join our team.

    Location is flexible within our Scottish and Newcastle offices.

    Job Purpose:

    We are looking for a proactive and experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic Entrepreneurial Taxes Team. This is a client-facing advisory role, working with high-growth companies, entrepreneurs, and investors to help them structure and implement tax-efficient employee incentive plans and ensure qualifying requirements are met for the tax-advantaged venture capital schemes such as SEIS and EIS.

    The experience listed below outlines the ideal candidate profile. We understand that not every applicant will have expertise in all areas, and we welcome applications from those with a strong foundation and a willingness to grow into the role.

    The Tax Manager / Senior Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to): 

    • Advise on employee share schemes, including EMI, CSOPs, growth shares, and unapproved options
    • Support clients with EMI valuations and annual reporting
    • Provide guidance on Employment Related Securities (ERS), including tax treatment and HMRC reporting
    • Deliver technical advice on SEIS and EIS qualification and structuring
    • Prepare advance assurance submissions and compliance statements for SEIS/EIS
    • Collaborate with founders and investors to communicate tax relief benefits

    About You:

    • CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
    • Experience in employee share schemes and/or SEIS/EIS advisory
    • Strong technical knowledge and communication skills
    • Ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively
    • Commercial awareness and interest in working with early-stage and growth companies
